The National Association of Social Housing Organisations (NASHO), an independent membership based advocacy body for social housing institutions in South Africa.
Communicare is a founding member of South African Multifamily Residential Rental Association (SAMRRA), a body formed to represent the South African Multifamily Residential Property sector. Multifamily Residential Property is privately owned large-scale residential rental properties. Many of these properties are typically owned by institutional investors and managed by specialist operators; the assets provide consistent long-term income for investors.
SAPOA (The South African Property Owners Association) is a member-driven organisation representing the commercial and industrial real estate sector in South Africa.
Communicare is a social housing partner of the Western Cape Government and the City of Cape Town.
Communicare partnered with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the Nedbank Green Trust and the National Association of Social Housing Organisations (NASHO) to pilot the retrofitting of a social housing complex with green technologies (e.g. dual flush cisterns, solar panels, roof water harvesting tanks, thermo glass windows, etc.).
We have joined the green building movement and aligned our organisation with the Green Building Council in order to drive our commitment to sustainability and green initiatives.
